Band

Band at SFMS is a yearlong co-curricular class that meets every day during Connections time. Students learn all about music through a performance-based curriculum while learning a musical instrument. Topics include, music notation, rhythm, theory, acoustics, instrumental techniques, while exploring a wide range of musical styles from Classical music to current popular music. Additionally, students learn to work toward collaborative goals while working to performing music at a high level. Our students perform in multiple concerts per year. Our band program has earned numerous local, regional, and national awards.
