Social Studies

The Social Studies curriculum at SFMS takes our students worldwide to learn about different countries and cultures' geography, history, government, and economics. Each grade level integrates writing, evaluates primary and secondary sources of information, incorporates multimedia presentations, interprets graphs, utilizes map skills, and differentiates learning for the individual student. In 6th grade, students will learn about Europe, North America, South America, and Australia. They also complete a short unit on personal finance ending with a field trip to the Junior Achievement Discovery Center.
