Social Studies

The Social Studies curriculum at SFMS takes our students worldwide to learn about different countries and cultures' geography, history, government, and economics. Each grade level integrates writing, evaluates primary and secondary sources of information, incorporates multimedia presentations, interprets graphs, utilizes map skills, and differentiates learning for the individual student. In 7th grade, students will learn about the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. They also complete a short unit on personal finance with a culminating field trip to the Junior Achievement Discovery Center.
